Outside of working hours Tawa Medical Centre and Linden surgery have arrangements to provide you with care through two partner organisations – Kenepuru Urgent Care Clinic and Practice Plus.

For any life threatening or more severe illness Wellington Regional Hospital is our closest Emergency Department what ever the time of day or night.

Kenepuru Urgent Care Clinic.
Located on the site of Kenepuru Hospital, Kenepuru Urgent Care clinic provides 24 hour GP Urgent Care.
X-ray facilities are available between 9-6pm for fractures and accidents. ECG and other assessment tools are available 24 hours a day for urgent assessment.
An after hours pharmacy is located at Kenepuru Hospital and is open until 10pm each night.

Practice Plus
Practice plus is an after hours virtual GP, able to connect to your regular medical centre team and their records if needed. They are able to assess your problem and provide a prescription to a pharmacy near you.
You will need to register to use Practice Plus the first time you access this service. There is a charge similar to what you would pay for an after hours service in person.
